All mice were injected with either Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) or vehicle (VEH) and given six-weeks for a chronic infection to establish. At this point, mice received either a controlled cortical impact (CCI) or sham injury. From this point, mice were allocated to either acute endpoints of 2-h or 24-h, or a sub-acute endpoint of 1-week recovery.
