Oxidative stress in the hippocampus is associated with Nox2 expression after sepsis induction. Hippocampi from WT mice were obtained at six hours, twenty-four hours and five days after sepsis onset. (A) Tissue oxidative stress was assessed by measuring 4-hydroxynonenal (4-HNE) levels, expressed as the percent increase over sham.
