MyD88-/- mice display striatal MPTP-induced dopaminergic depletion. (A) Striatal measurements of dopamine levels, as performed by HPLC coupled to electrochemical detection, showing a decrease in dopamine content in WT (p < 0.001) and MyD88-/- (p < 0.001) MPTP-injected mice, as compared to saline-treated WT and MyD88-/- mice. (B) Similar results were obtained for DOPAC levels (p < 0.01 for WT and p < 0.001 for MyD88-/- vs. saline-treated respective controls).
