Disease progression and clinical scores in EAE-induced SRA −/− and WT mice. A) EAE was induced in SRA−/− and WT mice (n = 9) by subcutaneous immunization with 250 mg MOG35–55 peptide emulsified in CFA. Mice were administered 250 ng pertussis toxin i.p. at the time of immunization and 48 h later. Disease scores were measured as follows: 0, no disease; 1, loss of tone in the tail; 2, hind limb weakness; 3, hind limb paralysis; 4, hind limb plus forelimb paralysis; 5, moribund state. Average clinical scores are presented in the graph. B) Maximum clinical scores as measured on Day 19. C) Cumulative clinical scores of WT and SRA−/− mice.
