A hematopoietic factor contributes to enhanced CD8 T-cell-induced microhemorrhage formation. The top panels show individual 129 SvIm mice receiving autologous bone marrow. Meanwhile, 129 SvIm mice reconstituted with C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow display significantly increased microhemorrhage formation as measured by T2*-weighted magnetic resonance imaging 24 hours post-VP2121-130 peptide administration to induce peptide-induced fatal syndrome (bottom panels). ImageJ software was used to analyze the threshold value of T2*-weighted MRI lesions (n = 4 in each group, P = 0.003).
