Expression of apoptosis-related proteins in AQP4 -/- and AQP4 +/+ mice. Higher levels of cleavage (activated) caspase-3 and caspase-8 were demonstrated at 1, 3, and 7 days after ICH in AQP4-/- mice than in AQP4+/+ mice by Western blotting (n =6, * P <0.05).
