Intracellular signaling through MyD88. siRNA for MyD88 (25 nM) was used to determine the role of this adaptor molecule in mediating signaling events in microglia in the presence of B. burgdorferi. Data are representative of cytokine/ chemokine pattern as determined from three independent experiments. Bars represent standard deviation. *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01; ***P < 0.001. Pam3CSK4 was used as a positive control for MyD88-mediated effects, and the medium as a control for baseline expression.
