xCT protein expression is increased in the CNS and spleen of C57BL/6J mice after EAE induction. a Clinical score of C57BL/6J mice after EAE induction (n = 4). Sham-treated mice (n = 5) were included in this study to correct for adjuvant-induced responses and had a clinical score of 0 throughout the entire experiment. xCT protein expression levels in the brain (b), spinal cord (c), and spleen (d) were significantly increased in C57BL/6J mice after EAE induction compared to sham-treated animals as measured using semi-quantitative Western blotting (data are expressed as the mean ± SEM).
