FXR is expressed by oligodendroglial cells in vivo and in vitro. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed oligodendroglial cells in the corpus callosum of adult mice express FXR protein. Oligodendrocytes were identified by their linear arrangement (arrows) and coexpression of OLIG2, respectively (a, b). In primary, murine oligodendroglial cells, FXR is expressed in OLIG2+ OPCs and mature oligodendrocytes, identified by OLIG2 and MBP expression after 48 h of in vitro differentiation (c).
