Fingolimod significantly decreases circulating T cells in the blood. FACS analysis of EAN rats treated with different concentrations of fingolimod. Staining of cells with CD4 (a) or CD11b (b) antibodies revealed a dose-dependent reduction of T cells in the blood, whereas monocytes/macrophages were not altered. Experiments were performed at maximum of disease (day 17 p.i.) in two independent experiments with four animals per group. One-way ANOVA (p < 0.0001) combined with Tukey’s multiple comparison test was performed to calculate statistics. *p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001
