Effect of neurokinin-1 receptor (NK1R) antagonism on LPS-induced increase in proinflammatory cytokine expression in the hippocampus. Rats were treated with L822429 (30 mg/kg) 1 h prior to LPS (200 μg/kg) and sacrificed 2 h after LPS injection. mRNA transcript levels were measured using qPCR.
