Caspase-1 does not regulate leukocyte influx during S. aureus craniotomy infection. WT and caspase-1 (Casp-1) KO mice were sacrificed at days 3, 7, or 14 following S. aureus craniotomy infection, whereupon (a) total CD45+ leukocyte, (b) MDSC (CD11bhighLy6C+Ly6G+F4/80), (c) neutrophil (CD11blowLy6C+Ly6G+F4/80), and (d) monocyte (Ly6C+Ly6GCD11b+F4/80) infiltrates were quantified in the galea and brain. Results were combined from 3 independent experiments (n = 15 mice/group)
