From: Human PMSCs-derived small extracellular vesicles alleviate neuropathic pain through miR-26a-5p/Wnt5a in SNI mice model

Fig. 4

Intrathecal injection of miR-26a-5p reduces SNI-induced pain and relieves inflammation at the spinal cord level. A 50% paw withdraw threshold (PWT) of left hind paw of sham, SNI + negative control or miR-26a-5p mice. At the day of 8, 10, 12, 21 and 28, the paw withdrawal thresholds (WTs) of SNI + miR-26a-5p group was significantly higher than those of SNI + NC group after single intrathecal injection at the 7th day (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 compared with SNI + NC group by Two-way ANOVA followed by Tukey post hoc test, n = 8 in each group). B Experimental protocol for establishing the preserved nerve injury (SNI) mouse model and pain behavioral test. C–E Protein levels of IL-1β (C), IL-6 (D), and TNF-α (E), in the L4–L5 dorsal spinal cord of mice were tested by ELISA at postoperative day 8. n = 6 mice for each group. Data are represented as mean ± sem. **p < 0.01
