(left) In exposure of 4-AP, NFIA in astrocytes is upregulated and binds to TRPV4 promoter to increase TRPV4 expression, thereby remodeling astrocyte reactivity and increasing the expression of its proinflammatory cytokines, aggravating neuroinflammation to increase aberrant neuronal discharge, epileptic symptom and neuronal damage.
